The Archdiocese of Seattle joins a number of dioceses that permit deacons to wear a Roman collar. Many of those dioceses ask their deacons to wear gray shirts.
Archbishop Rodriguez applauded the release of some prisoners but said many others remain “whose cries and those of their families can no longer be ignored.”
